Mission Statement

The Office of Community Service is committed to promoting unity between the Samford community and Birmingham community by establishing intentional, lasting relationships with service organizations around Birmingham. Through these relationships, the Community Service Council provides more accessible service opportunities for students to engage with and impact Birmingham. Also, the Community Service Council will promote awareness of the needs of Birmingham in order to educate and transform student thinking about the purpose and influence of service.
