Student Government Association

Samford's Student Government Association provides a wide range of opportunities for student involvement and leadership.

Student Executive Board consists of the SGA President, three Vice Presidents, the Chief of Staff, Chief Justice, Press Secretary, Treasurer, and Chaplain.

Presidential Advisory Council is comprised of student leaders from across campus. PAC members meet with the SGA President and Chief of Staff once a month to share news and information and to discuss ways to improve Samford's campus.

Class Officers are elected by their peers to represent the needs and interests of their respective classes. Each class has a President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer.

Senate is made up of elected student leaders from across campus. Senate allocates campus life fees to student organizations and voices student concerns to the university administration.

Student Activities Council plans and executes the following campus-wide events: Welcome Back Week, Homecoming, Miss Samford Scholarship Pageant, Lighting of the Way, Spring Fling, and Thursday night concerts in Harry’s Coffeehouse.

Student Judiciary Council hears and reviews student violations of the Code of Values.

Traffic Appeals Council is responsible for reviewing parking appeals submitted by Samford students.

Freshman Forum is a leadership development program for first-year students.
