Senate


Senate serves as the “voice” of Samford students, allocating funds to student organizations and initiating resolutions that seek to create positive change on campus.

Senate Election sign ups will be held August 17-21 for the 2014-2015 school year. If you are interested in running for office, please sign up at the SGA office (UC117) and then complete the "Application for Qualification as a Candidate" form.  Election Day will be September 2, 2015.

Senate Funding Requests

All registered student organizations are eligible to receive funding from SGA Senate.  The Senate Funding Request Form is available in the "Forms" section on the lefthand toolbar.  Click HERE for Senate Funding Guidelines.

A mandatory informational meeting will be held on Thursday, August 27 as part of Student Organization Training.  Details coming soon!

Ask Your Senator

Every undergraduate student at Samford is represented by at least one Senator.  Do not hesitate to contact your Senator if you have questions, concerns, or ideas about ways to make Samford even better! Fill out this constituent form to express your ideas.
