Student Activities Council

Samford University Student Activities Council (SAC) plans and executes campus-wide events and programs throughout the year, including Welcome Back Week, Homecoming, Lighting of the Way, Spring Fling, and the bi-monthly concert series, Harry’s Coffeehouse.

The Student Activities Council is broken into four committees: Annual Events, Special Events, Musical Entertainment and Public Relations. Directors meet with their committees once a week as well as attend monthly Director Meetings with the Vice President for Events. 

The Annual Events Committee plans three week-long annual events, Welcome Back Week, Homecoming and Spring Fling.

The Special Events Committee is in charge of Lighting of the Way, the Easter Egg Hunt as well as other "special" events throughout the year. 

The Musical Entertainment Committee is in charge of the Your School, Your City concert, Homecoming Bonfire concert, the Spring Fling concert and Battle of the Bands. It also runs Harry's Coffeehouse, a bi-monthly concert series. 

The Public Relations Committee promotes all SAC events through designing posters and t-shirts, updating our social media and creating new and creative ways to advertise.
